Kitchen Sink

Whether for a home or business, picking a bathroom sink that meets the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a wise choice. The ADA guidelines offer specifications for height, width and accessibility for all types of home and commercial fixtures, including plumbing, doorways, countertops and more. If you plan to age in place or have a disability, upgrading your home to compliant fixtures allows you to stay in the place you love.

Requirements for an ADA Bathroom Sink

The ADA guidelines for bathroom sinks were last updated in 2010. In order to make an accessible bathroom, there must be a 30-inch by 48-inch access to the sink. This gives adequate space for a walker, wheelchair and closing of the bathroom door. ADA guidelines also specify 27-inch vertical knee clearance and 60 inches of side clearance for a wheelchair to turn in the bathroom.

ADA Bathroom Sinks Offered by Allora USA

At Allora USA, we’re here to provide you with a durable and appealing under-mount and top-mount ADA bathroom sink. We offer a range of options to suit your style preferences. All of our sinks are made of white porcelain. For under-mount sinks, choose from a rectangular or oval shape. These sinks feature the drain and overflow cut-outs. The rectangular under-mount sink measures 20.575 inches wide by 14.575 inches long by 5 inches deep and requires a 24-inch cabinet base. The oval sink measures 16 inches wide by 19.25 inches long by 5.8 inches deep and requires a 21-inch cabinet size.

We also offer a top-mount sink with an oval porcelain configuration. This sink has cut-outs for single and three-hole installation options. It measures 20 inches wide by 17.375 inches long by 7.625 inches deep, and it requires a minimum 21-inch cabinet size.

Whichever configuration you choose, Allora USA is committed to providing your home or business with an ADA-compliant sink that accommodates everyone who wishes to use it.
