2-Inch PVC Shower Base Drain with Matte Black Cover

The Allora USA AL5-08-BL is a 2" PVC shower base drain with a 4-1/4" screw-in cover in matte black. The black PVC body and receptor base solvent-cement to 2" Schedule 40 PVC DWV pipe. The matte black cover matches black faucets, valve trim, and door hardware. Spec it when the project calls for a black fixture package.

The drain fits preformed shower bases in fiberglass, acrylic, and molded stone. The threaded drain body and the receptor base clamp the base from both sides. An NBR rubber washer and a fiber washer seal against the underside. Once the cemented joint cures, it will not loosen, back off, or weep. There are no mechanical connections to re-tighten after installation.

Two black-matched stainless steel screws hold the cover in place. Crews can pull the cover with a screwdriver for drain access, cleanouts, or punch-list work. The matte black coating over stainless steel hides water spots and fingerprints better than bright finishes. The PVC body is unaffected by hard water and common cleaners.
