2-Inch PVC Solvent Weld Shower Drain with Receptor Base & 4-1/4-Inch Stainless Steel Strainer

Build a permanent, leak-free connection under your shower floor. The Allora USA AL5-08 solvent weld shower drain pairs a durable black PVC body and receptor base with a 4-1/4" screw-in strainer in a natural stainless steel finish a clean, modern look that resists rust, tarnish, and daily wear.

Designed for preformed fiberglass, acrylic, and molded stone shower bases, this two-piece drain sandwiches the shower base between the threaded PVC drain body and the receptor base below. An NBR rubber washer and fiber washer compress against the underside of the pan to create a watertight seal, while the receptor base solvent-welds directly to 2" Schedule 40 PVC DWV pipe. This reliable setup allows for a permanent, leak-free joint that will never loosen, back off, or weep.

The 4-1/2" round stainless steel strainer fastens with two stainless steel screws, so it stays put underfoot but removes in seconds with a screwdriver for drain cleaning and access. The rustproof PVC body stands up to hard water and harsh cleaners, and the stainless strainer and hardware keep their brushed natural finish for years.
