PEX B Crimp Pressure-Balancing Shower Rough-In Valve with Stops

Designed for PEX B crimp plumbing systems, this all-brass pressure-balancing rough-in valve connects directly to 1/2 in. PEX tubing at the hot and cold inlets and shower outlet. The crimp connections eliminate the need for threaded adapters or soldered joints at these three ports, helping installers complete rough-ins efficiently using familiar PEX tools.

The lower tub spout outlet remains a 1/2 in. NPT connection for rigid, full-flow piping. This configuration supports faster tub filling and helps prevent water from rising unexpectedly to the shower head while the tub spout is operating.

A ceramic disc pressure-balancing cartridge responds to changes in hot and cold supply pressure to help maintain a consistent outlet temperature. The adjustable hot limit stop allows the installer to set the maximum water temperature for anti-scald protection. Integrated screwdriver service stops make it possible to isolate the valve for installation or maintenance without shutting off the building’s main water supply.

The forged brass body features a flat back for stable mounting against cross braces. A stainless steel retaining ring with wrench flats simplifies cartridge access, while the included plaster guard provides a clear installation-depth reference and support for thin-wall applications.

With a rough-in range of 1-3/4 in. to 2-3/4 in. from the finished wall, this PEX B shower valve accommodates common wall assemblies. Reversible hot and cold operation also supports back-to-back bathroom installations, making it a practical choice for multifamily, hospitality, and residential projects.
